Over the last few years, BT has been transforming its business from a telco to a networked service provider, based on "new wave" revenues.
BT's 21st Century Network (21CN) is an important part of that transition. It is an end-to-end IP-based network, which will consolidate BT's complex networks and systems on to a single infrastructure. In particular, it will enable the creation of new converged communications and information services -- by BT, third parties and its customers. 21CN is a platform for open innovation in communications.
